Its said that if you are lactose Intolerant you cant digest the sugar part of the milk and some dairy products. Apparently, I was suffering from this and I had no clue about It. For a while now, I’ve been having symptoms such as Irritable bowel syndrome, stuffy nose, headaches and lack of energy. Little Did I know It was because of Milk. I’ve been a cheese lover all my life, and of course butter.. Mmmm its delicious. So, I started this diet I mentioned In the last entry of the blog. I noticed some results after I stopped eating milk products and In some cases diary. I noticed less migraines and I could actually breathe better. Its been super hard because I love everything diary and everything cheese. Its specially hard eating out when you go to a restaurant for some reason everything includes either butter o cheese if you take out this main ingredient the recipe does not taste the same. Everything In life a sacrifice and I decided to give this a try for my well being. Another thing that came to show was while prohibiting myself from this foods, I had better digestion and of course the downfall after consuming them, all the same symptoms came back right away NOT COOL. What can I say? Sometimes I just cant say No to Pizza. I do have some options for you to try if you are just like me. I’ve been doing some research about substitutes and probably stuff that has less whey or lactose. I’m intolerant to Whey, so even If I have lactose free milk there could be some whey in it. Whey is the sugar In milk, the protein part. I found online this yogurt its called SIGGI is an Iceland yogurt has 0% milk fat. I’m so happy to have found this cause I love yogurt. I used to eat it everyday until I found out about my intolerance. I haven’t tried it, and I'm guessing Its price but I’m going to buy it. Another Thing I’m drinking is almond milk which taste a lot like milk and basically what I do every time I’m going to make a recipe like brownies or pasta I use this instead, Its not like the real thing but it works.. Remember to watch what you buy on the supermarket because not all companies include all of the ingredients, and they have this sneaky way of saying “oh we have a facility that uses milk, nuts or what not” be sure to check Those not active ingredients because you don’t know how much of them were included in their products. Id say try to buy fresh foods, if you can, less bottles cans or bags because that way you can control of you are eating..
